Just hit a deer while ago (Questions about insurance)?

Simply how much does it usually cost to ensure a large (600cc and above) motorcycle?
I am 18 years-old and thinking of buying my first bike. I prefer both styles of cycles but was wondering which variety will be more easy on my wallet. I am assuming a sports bicycle could be more costly but much more? Input would be great.
